Zilqaro is a private document and records manager for Android. You use it without signing up, and its core features work offline. You scan invoices, contracts and letters, save them as PDFs and file them in folders and records on your device. Records, PDF notes, voice notes, and deadlines and reminders are free. No user account needed, and Zilqaro runs no cloud of its own.
Try all features for 30 days, no credit card needed. Afterwards the free version keeps working. Zilqaro Pro only starts if you subscribe yourself (annual subscription that renews automatically, €9.99 per year in Germany, cancel any time in Google Play). Both versions are ad-free. Zilqaro is currently available on Google Play in Germany only.
No user account, no Zilqaro cloud. Your documents stay on your device unless you share or back them up yourself.
The core features work without internet. Zilqaro has no permission to make internet connections of its own, and text recognition (Pro) also runs on your device. Exceptions are Google services (scanner component, buying Pro through Google Play) and apps you choose yourself for sharing or backups.
File scans, photos and PDFs in your own folders and create records with a name and description, right on your phone. Records are free; the number of records is not limited. For folders, the free version allows up to 3 folders with up to 10 PDFs each. A record belongs to a folder, and its PDFs count towards that folder's 10 PDFs.

Zilqaro Pro adds to the free version:
Unlimited folders
Unlimited PDFs per folder
Merge PDFs
Edit and rearrange pages
Extract text from PDFs (OCR)
Search text in an open PDF (using text recognition)
Redact content
Protect new PDFs from photos or scans with a password when you create them (AES-256)
Good to know: when you merge PDFs or edit pages, Zilqaro takes the pages over as images. Text, forms, links, digital signatures and other PDF properties are lost. Merging creates a new PDF and leaves the source PDFs unchanged. Editing pages changes the saved PDF itself. Make a copy first if you need the original (in the free version it counts towards the 10 PDFs per folder).
You can use all features free for 30 days. The trial starts when you finish setting up the app. No credit card is needed, and there is no automatic conversion to a subscription. Afterwards Zilqaro continues as the free version with basic features. A subscription only starts if you explicitly buy one through Google Play.
Zilqaro Pro is an annual subscription that renews automatically. The current price in Germany is €9.99 per year. If Zilqaro is offered in other countries later, local Google Play prices apply there, which may differ because of currency, taxes and regional pricing. Google Play shows the binding total in the purchase dialog before you buy. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in Google Play. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; Pro features remain available until then.
Step by step, for everyday tasks with paper and PDFs:
Zilqaro works without signing up and without a user account. The app has no permission to make internet connections of its own. So Zilqaro itself does not connect to the internet while you work with your documents; the core features work offline. Text recognition (OCR, Pro) also runs on your device; Zilqaro asks for your consent before you first use it. Exceptions are Google services and apps you choose: the Google Play services document scanner may download a required component on first use, after you consent. Buying and verifying Zilqaro Pro happens through Google Play. And when you share a PDF with another app or store a backup with a cloud provider, the app or provider you chose transfers the data.
PDF notes, voice notes, and deadlines and reminders are included in the free version. There, each note and voice note counts like a PDF towards the limit of 10 per folder. A note you save as a PDF is a separate file. Zilqaro only records a voice note when you start the recording yourself; the app needs microphone access for this. Each voice note is stored locally on your device as a separate document: a PDF plus the recording as an M4A file. You can assign it to a record; it is not attached to an existing PDF. There is no automatic transcription.
Zilqaro needs no user account and runs no cloud storage or document servers of its own. Documents, images, scans, PDFs and recognised text are processed on your device and are not sent to the provider's servers. Google Play, Google Play services and Google ML Kit may process technical app and device information, for example for subscriptions, the document scanner, text recognition, model downloads and technical diagnostics. Document content, PDF content and OCR results are not transferred to the Zilqaro provider.
You can save extra copies of your PDFs to a folder you choose, such as device storage, external media or a cloud storage provider connected through Android. The Zilqaro provider has no access to that folder, its contents or your storage account. Backup copies in an external folder may remain after you delete the app data or uninstall Zilqaro. You then need to delete them yourself in the folder or with your storage provider.
Full Zilqaro backups are currently stored unencrypted and may contain your documents and voice recordings. So choose a storage location you trust.
